Ioana is passionate about tech, startups and legal design. She holds a Batchelor of Law from the University of Bologna, Italy also being a Graduate of a Master’s Degree in Digital Law and Information Society from University of Barcelona, IL3, Spain.

She has gained her experience in a law firm connected to a Big 4 in Romania, where she was part of a dynamic team specialized in competition law, data protection, consumer law and intellectual property. During her stay in Barcelona she offered legal assistance to startups, from MVP & growth stage to acquisition, collaborating towards determining the appropriate legal vehicle & funding path for each company.

Ioana has advised a significant number of clients operating in various fields such as IT&C, Telecom, Retail, FMCG, Media & Entertainment, IoT, Marketing & RTB.

In 2019, together with an amazing team of developers, Ioana has won Jury’s Coup de Coeur award at the Single Digital Gateway Hackathon, organised by the European Commission in Barcelona.

Ioana roots for legal tech, being a firm believer in the necessity to introduce design thinking and user experience concepts within the legal industry.
